The Inter-University LGBT Network (Inter-Uni/IULN for short) is a network for organisations in Singapore universities to collaborate in fostering safer and more inclusive school communities for everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

"Inter-University LGBT Network is a student-run organisation, acting as a collective voice for the various university groups and maintaining their continuity.

We currently look over 8 member groups: NTU Kaleidoscope (Nanyang Technological University), QueerNUS (National University of Singapore), TFreedom (Tembusu College NUS), Gender Collective (NUS University Scholars Programme), EnCAPTsulate (NUS College of Alice & Peter Tan), G spot (Yale-NUS College), Out to Care (Singapore Management University), and Q-space (Singapore Institute of Technology).”

Mission[]

To advocate for youth-specific LGBTQ+ issues, as well as to provide safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in Singapore to find community and resources.


What we do[]

Support & Outreach[]

To raise awareness, promote understanding of gender and sexual diversity on campus, build a safe space for networking, peer support and social engagement.

Public Relations[]

Act as a collective voice for various university groups, releasing press statements on our social media platforms, and speaking to press when requested.

Research & Resources[]

To study the available resources locally and to produce our own resources such as guidebooks and handbooks. Topics include being trans+ on campus, safe sex and queer friendly spaces.

Tembusu College, National University of Singapore

tFreedom is an LGBTQIA+-affirming community that aims to build a more diverse and inclusive college. We organise events to advocate and educate on matters regarding gender and sexuality, fostering greater awareness and understanding amongst Tembusians on such issues. tFreedom also hosts private gatherings for LGBTQIA+-identifing members to create a safe space for them to freely express themselves. Ultimately, tFreedom aspires to be the pillar of support for LGBTQIA+ Tembusians while actively engaging with the general college community to promote an inclusive residential environment.

1) Names and institutions of sender; and

2) Purpose of enquiry.

3) If media enquiry includes an interview component, do include a list of sample interview questions.

For student research requests[]

Student research project requests, recruitment requests for LGBTQ+ subjects for interviews, focus group discussions or surveys will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

1) Names and institutions of project team members;

2) Purpose of research, including how project outcomes will concretely benefit the LGBTQ+ community;

3) If the research project includes an interview or questionnaire component, do include a list of sample interview/questionnaire questions; and

4) Other relevant project information, such as the methodology, initial findings and other organisations contacted.
