Description Edit

One day after Singapore's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of her human rights record at the United Nations in Geneva where Ambassador-At-Large Chan Heng Chee said that although Section 377A of the Penal Code which criminalises male gay sex would be retained by not proactively enforced, Singapore values and does not discriminate against her LGBT citizens, Sayoni representative Jean Chong and other civil society activists from the Alliance of Like-Minded CSO's in Singapore (ALMOS) held a press conference at 3pm on Thursday, 28 January 2016. This video excerpt is Jean Chong's statement to the press regarding Sayoni's recommendations to the UPR and in response to Chan Heng Chee's comments.
