The road to nation-building is one fraught with difficulties and challenges. However, with the older generation's selfless contributions and sacrifice, a stable and prosperous nation is built today. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made an announcement on Sunday on the Pioneer Generation Package. Approximately 450,000 elderly, who became Singaporean citizens before 1987, will be of 65-years-old this year. These elderly will be entitled to additional healthcare financial support for life.
